This custom-built, cold-molded center-console powerboat, originally constructed by Pease Boat Works on the historic “elbow” of Cape Cod, was purpose-built as a fast, shoal-draft fly-fishing platform designed to pursue striped bass and bluefish across the shallow flats of New England. Blending timeless elegance with modern engineering, this vessel represents a refined evolution of classic design. Following its initial construction, the vessel underwent a comprehensive series of high-end custom enhancements, transforming it into a uniquely appointed and performance-driven platform. The current owner has invested significantly in upgrades, including the addition of a custom design T-top, extensive teak finishes on the exterior and interior, a premium stereo system, a high-performance engine equipped with a supercharger, upgraded lighting and paintwork, as well as custom cushions and fitted covers. Developed by Matthew Smith of the Fontaine Design Group, the Monomoy 24 showcases a striking profile with a high bow, sweeping sheer line, and pronounced tumblehome aft—hallmarks of authentic New England craftsmanship paired with cutting-edge performance. Since its original construction, the vessel has been thoughtfully enhanced to deliver exceptional power and unmatched shallow-water capability. Now equipped with a high-output 383 gasoline engine featuring a Whipple supercharger producing approximately 502 horsepower, paired with a Hamilton 241 waterjet, the boat delivers explosive acceleration, precision maneuverability, and confidence in thin water. The jet-drive system eliminates exposed running gear, making it ideal for flats, inshore waters, and hard-to-reach coastal environments. The hull is constructed using advanced cold-molded techniques, featuring white cedar strip planking over an okoume backbone, reinforced with laminated frames, full-length stringers, and a robust keel structure. The epoxy-sheathed cedar hull provides long-term durability while preserving the warmth and character of traditional wooden boatbuilding. The cockpit and deck layout emphasize both form and function, with bright-finished teak trim, cedar ceiling planking, and precision-crafted joinery throughout. The clean center-console layout offers excellent visibility, intuitive control, and an uncluttered working deck. Equipped with VHF radio, chartplotter, stereo system, and integrated jet-drive controls, this vessel is built for both performance and ease of operation. At approximately 24 feet LOA, with a shallow draft and self-bailing cockpit, this vessel is equally capable of technical flats fishing or confident coastal cruising. Its stable casting platform, open foredeck, and refined layout make it ideal for serious anglers and discerning boating enthusiasts alike.
